Healthier Places website
To assist in sharing good practice, Architecture and Design Scotland and Health Facilities Scotland have developed a website Healthier Places, which has been designed to house information on good healthcare design to assist NHS Boards in the development of the project brief and to raise awareness of the good practice being developed and delivered across NHSScotland and elsewhere. In addition to providing guidance on the development of ‘Design Statements’ and, articles on healthcare design topics, the website holds a project resource - Pulse - a database of projects and examples of good practice.

Post Project Evaluation (PPE) - Lessons Learned Summaries
Projects less than £5Million
The 2011 PPE report has been prepared from summary reports returned by NHS Boards to SGHSC covering post project evaluations for projects costing less than £5m in 2011. This is an important exercise in collecting the shared experience of NHSScotland in delivering capital projects and highlighting key lessons learned to support improved delivery of such projects going forward.

The report below summarises projects in excess of £5Million submitted to SGHSC for 2011. It is the responsibility of individual NHS Boards to manage the reports which therefore have been anonymised. The 2011 summary is the first for projects in excess of £5Million.
